    About city:

    Yaroslavl is one of the oldest Russian cities, it has a thousand-year history. Yaroslavl is the third largest city in the Central Federal District of the Russian Federation. In this index he is second only to Moscow and Voronezh. Yaroslavl, as well as Moscow, has its own Red Square. The historical part of Yaroslavl, including all of its buildings and constructions, is entirely under the protection of the world organization UNESCO (140 sites). The first in the world factory for the production on an industrial scale of synthetic rubber was opened in 1932 in Yaroslavl. The ancient city of Yaroslavl was honored to be marked on one of the Russian state banknotes.

    On September 12-13, 2024, the International Seminar “Historical and Cultural Heritage and its Role in Sustainable Urban Development” was held in the city of Yaroslavl. From Kazan, the Prefect of the special territory “Old Town” Ayrat Faizov took part in the event and made a report “Old Tatar Settlement of Kazan: a bridge between eras.”
