Yoshkar-Ola is the capital of the Republic of Mari El. Yoshkar-Ola in Russian means Red City. During its history, the city has changed its name several times. Yoshkar-Ola is a multifunctional city with a predominance of industry, in which the leading role belongs to the enterprises of mechanical engineering, building materials, food industry. The city of Yoshkar-Ola is one of the greenest cities in Russia. The capital of the Republic of Mari El is in the top 10 of the environmental rating among Russian cities.

The municipal formation of the city of Krasnodar (Ekaterinodar before 1920) is an administrative, industrial, business and cultural center of the Krasnodar Territory. The city is located on the Kuban-Azov (Prikubanskaya) lowland, on the right bank of the Kuban river, 1539 km south of Moscow.

Krasnodar is major transportation hub, which includes all kinds of transport: air, rail, river, bus and urban electric transport (tram, trolleybus). Modern Krasnodar is the industrial center. About 50 thousand people or more than 11% of all employed in the city’s economy work at 127 large and medium-sized, as well as numerous small industrial enterprises. The leading place in the industrial structure is occupied by the food, machine-building, metalworking and light industries.

Taking into consideration the special geopolitical position of the Krasnodar Territory in the South of Russia, Krasnodar became one of the most significant cities in the Southern Federal District and annually confirms this with the results of social and economic development.

On May 25-26, 2023, a representative of the Krasnodar city administration took part in the training «Eurasia Cities and Global Trends» which was held in Kazan.

A representative of the Krasnodar took part in the event «United Cities Forum» which was held on September 7-8, 2023 in Kazan during International Forum «SPROUTS: Russia and China- Mutually Beneficial Cooperation». A team of chess players from Krasnodar took part in a chess tournament within the framework of the forum.

On September 20, 2023, representatives of Krasnodar Administration participated online as listeners in the Mayors’ Round Table «Artificial Intelligence in city Management» within the framework of the International Forum Kazan Digital Week-2023.

Representatives of the tour operators of Kazan between the 6 and 9 of October, 2023 took part in an informational tour around the city, specially designed by Tourist information center of Krasnodar.

A team of chess players from the city of Krasnodar took part in a chess tournament within the framework of the II International Forum "SPROUTS: Russia and China - Mutually Beneficial Cooperation”, which was held on November 14-15, 2024 in Kazan.

On August 18, 2025, the Krasnodar team took part online in the Friendly Chess Tournament between teams from sister and partner cities of Russia and China as part of the III International Business Forum «SPROUTS: Russia and China – Mutually Beneficial Cooperation».

From September 20-28, 2025, a Krasnodar delegation took part in the BRICS Youth Festival. Mikhail Stasovsky won first place in the BRICS Youth Mathematics Olympiad, and Milana Mirgorod placed third.

Krasnoyarsk is a developed industrial center of Russia. More than seventeen thousand enterprises, organizations and institutions are located in Krasnoyarsk. Leading industries: space industry, non-ferrous metallurgy, machine building, woodworking, transport, chemical, food, retail and wholesale trade, services. Krasnoyarsk universities educate about 150 thousand students annually. The local Siberian Federal University has more than 40,000 students. About 20% of all gold in Russia is mined here. In April 2016 a delegation from Krasnoyarsk headed by First Deputy Mayor Igor Titenkov visited Kazan to exchange experience in holding major international sporting events.

On November 9, 2018, a delegation from the Krasnoyarsk Territory headed by Governor Aleksandr Uss visited the Republic of Tatarstan to discuss the issues on forming the architectural appearance of Kazan, improvement of public and cultural spaces, development of transport infrastructure, introduction of road safety and traffic flow monitoring systems, organization of public transport work.

City, provided great support to Kazan in Durban, South Africa in November 2019 when the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin was elected President of the UN Advisory Council on Local Government.

On September 23, 2020 Head of Krasnoyarsk Sergey Yeremin took part in the international forum Kazan Digital Week-2020 and made a presentation on "Evaluation of integrated solutions in the field of road safety using Krasnoyarsk as an example" at the Mayors’ Round Table Smart City.

On February 6-8, 2025, the head of the architecture department - chief architect of the city of Krasnoyarsk Yulia Solovarova visited Kazan to participate in the international architectural and construction forum «Kazanysh».

On August 19-22, 2025, a delegation from Krasnoyarsk Krai visited Kazan to study the Republic of Tatarstan's experience in retrofitting enterprises, deploying, operating, and servicing buses powered by natural gas, and to explore advanced technologies in urban public transportation in Kazan.

On June 2, 2021, the Head of Nizhny Novgorod Yuriy Shalabaev took part in the International Forum "Healthy Cities. Healthy Food for Children", which was also the first Eurasian regional forum of the Milan Pact on Urban Food Policy. Nizhny Novgorod joined the Milan Pact on Urban Food Policy.

On September 24, 2021 the Mayor of Kazan held in Nizhny Novgorod the General Meeting of the Association of Cities of the Volga Region in an online format. From October 13 to 16, 2021 a delegation of the city of Kazan took part in the Forum of Cities of Labor Valor "Cities of Labor Valor. Victory was forged on the home front" in Nizhny Novgorod. Representatives of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of Kazan visited Nizhny Novgorod to share the experience in urban planning, landscaping and transport development within the framework of the professional development program «Architects of the Russian Federation». They also took part in the foresight session «Scheme of Tourism Development of the Russian Federation until 2035» and in the session «Optimization of the system of strategic and territorial planning documents at the municipal level», which were held in July 2022.

On November 16-17, 2022, Deputy Head of the Kazan Municipality Evgeniya Lodvigova took part in the IV Congress of Russian Association for Local Self-Government Development, which was held in Nizhny Novgorod.

On December 5-7 2022, with the support of the Nizhny Novgorod administration, a trip to «Industrial Nizhny» was organized for students of Kazan school № 101 as a part of the project - the 800th anniversary of the founding of Nizhny Novgorod. City tour, quiz, acquaintance with the interactive exposition of the multimedia park, were organized for the children.

In 2022, advertising of the Kazan bike ride «Night Bikefest» was organized on the media facades of Nizhny Novgorod. A banner exchange was held in December 2022.

On October 6, 2023 the General Meeting of Association of Cities of the Volga Region was held in Perm, wh ere the Head of Nizhny Novgorod Yuri Shalabaev took part.

On July 28-29, 2025, employees of the Kazan Personnel Policy Department completed an intensive educational course for civil servants of the Volga Federal District and took part in a strategic session on attracting young people to municipal service, which took place in Nizhny Novgorod.

On November 24-25, 2025 in Dubai (UAE), the Mayor of Nizhny Novgorod, Yuri Shalabaev, took part in the III Module of the «International School of Municipal Leadership» Program for the Development of Competencies of Heads of Municipalities of the Russian Federation in the Sphere of International Cooperation, one of the co-organizers of which was the Kazan City Hall.

Orel was founded in 1566 at the confluence of the Orlik River into the Oka, a settlement that existed as early as the 12th century. Many great people were born or lived in the city of Orel. Among them, Leonid Andreev, Ivan Turgenev, Ivan Bunin and Nikolai Leskov are worth mentioning. An important tourist spot of Orel is the Noble's Nest, a cultural preserve.
