The capital of Tatarstan will host the International festival-contest “Dance, Kazan”

<p> (KZN.RU, February 6). The acceptance of applications for participation in the International Dance Festival-Competition “Dance, Kazan” is open in Kazan. It will be held in the capital of Tatarstan fr om 1 to 3 of March and include an educational program with master classes from the guests of honor of the event. </p> <p> </p> <p> Children and adolescents aged 5 years and older are invited to participate in the festival. The competitions will be held in seven dance directions: modern, street, pop, classical, folk and folk-styled dances, as well as the original genre. </p> <p> </p> <p> Competitive tests will be held on March 1 and 2 in the HoC “Yunost”. On March 3, participants of the festival could attend master classes and a gala concert at the entertainment complex “Pyramid” wh ere the winners will be awarded. The main prize of the competition is 20 thousand rubles, according to the Ministry of Culture of the RT. </p> <p> </p> <p> Young dancers will be judged by famous choreographers and teachers of the country, including Sergey Gorbatov, an associate professor of the Department of Choreographic Art of St. Petersburg State Humanitarian University, the chief choreographer of St. Petersburg State Theater “Music Hall”, Liliya Sorokina, a People’s Artist of the RT, winner of All-Russian and international competitions, teacher of KSCI, as well as Dmitry Maslennikov, a finalist of the show “Dances” on TNT, choreographer of the musical based on the play “The Seagull” by A.
