The features of school meals were discussed at the restaurant complex “Kazan Expo”

Representatives of WorldSkills teams from Belarus and Kazakhstan talked about their experience in preparing meals for students.

(KZN.RU, August 27). Yesterday, a roundtable was held on the theme “Formula of school meals” was held in the restaurant complex at the territory of “Kazan Expo”. Representatives of WorldSkills teams from Belarus and Kazakhstan exchanged their experience with Russian experts.

The roundtable was attended by Serikkhan Adilkhanov, a WorldSkills Kazakhstan expert in the competency “Cooking” from Kazakhstan, Yulia Pinchukova, an associate professor of the Food Commodity Department of the Belarusian State Economic University, as well as representatives of the Mogilev State Food University and the Mogilev State Technological College.

Experts in the organization of school meals were Guzaliya Fomicheva, the head of the department for supervision of hygiene of children and adolescents of the Rospotrebnadzor of the RT, Raziya Savchenko, the director of the Kazan Trade and Economic College, as well as representatives of the Department of Food and Social Catering.

At the roundtable, Rima Mukhamedshina, the general director of the Department, presented the guests with a school catering system in Kazan, after which the participants shared their problems. For example, it turned out that Belarusian children do not really like soups, while Kazan schoolchildren refuse fish dishes. Serikkhan Adilkhanov spoke about his experience in introducing dishes into the school menu and how to make a favorite dish from an outsider one.

After the discussion, guests were able to try dishes from the menu of Kazan schools. They noted the fish quiche and stuffed zucchini, a new dish that will appear on the menu in the new school year.

At the end of the roundtable, experts agreed that the culture of healthy catering, first of all, is formed by the family, according to the Department of Food and Social Catering.
