(KZN.RU, August 7). Literary and music festivals “Literary Yards” dedicated to ecology and sports will be held in Kazan on August 7 and 8.
Today, citizens and visitors are invited to the yard of house №18 on Zavoisky Street in the Privolzhsky district. The event will be devoted to ecology and respect for nature. Fragments from the works of famous nature writers will sound on the site. Viewers could participate in eco-quizzes, as well as listen to a lecture on the rules of behavior in nature. In addition, everyone is invited to participate in a master class on the production of bookmarks from natural materials. The program of the event will also include a performance by soloists of the Kazan City Philharmonia Rafael Yakupov, Rustem Nasybulin, and Gulnaz Gafurova.
Tomorrow, the Literary Yard will take place in the residential complex “Salavat Kupere” of the Kirovsky district next to the house №3 on Sazhinov Street. It will be dedicated to sports. Guests could participate in competitions in speed reading, literary flash mob, a quiz on knowledge of verses about sports, role reading and exercises. Famous Tatarstan athletes will read poems and literary excerpts from thematic works, and soloists of the Kazan City Philharmonia Nikolay Konovalov and Alsu Valiullina will please the audience with their songs.
The holiday will be held from 5 pm to 7 pm at both sites.
Yesterday, the Literary Yard was near the yard of house №4 on Lukin Street of the Aviastroitelny district of Kazan. It was dedicated to the Year of Theater in the country. The audience was addressed by Ilya Slavutsky, the People's Artist of Tatarstan, director and actor of the Kachalovsky Theater. The thematic exhibition “Literary Works in the Theater Repertoire” and a photo exhibition on the history of theaters were presented as well, reports the Department of Culture.
This year, Literary Yards are held in 9 yards of the Kazan districts. The main idea of the holiday is to popularize classical and modern poetry, familiarize the population with reading and new editions and the work of Tatarstan writers.
