A new boiler house on Tolstogo Street will start working in Kazan

The block-modular facility will provide heat to four apartment buildings and a kindergarten

A new boiler house was built on Tolstogo Street instead of the outdated complex of the VKNIIVOLT plant. As of today, a gas pipeline has been built in a block-modular facility and engineering networks have been laid. The readiness of the facility was inspected by the head of the Executive Committee Rustem Gafarov. He instructed to improve the territory near the boiler house shortly.

The new block-modular complex will provide heat to kindergarten №15 and four apartment buildings on Tolstogo and Podluzhnaya Streets – heating networks have been built. The installation of a new section of networks from the boiler house with a transition with a sleeve under the road is also being completed.

Initially, the structure was mounted on Kurskaya Street, after which it was divided into separate three-meter parts and brought to the site, where a complete installation was assembled. Before that, the existing communications were removed at the site. Then the workers started pouring the foundation.

According to Artyom Yerokhin, a representative of the subcontractor organization of LLC PSK Linda, the boiler house is equipped with energy-efficient equipment, which will help save gas and electricity consumption. The thermal capacity of the complex will be 4 MW (two boilers of 2 MW each) or 3.5 Gcal/hour.

Albert Salikhov, head of the administration of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts of Kazan, and Vasily Lysachkin, Chairman of the Housing and Utilities Services Committee of the Executive Committee, also participated in the visiting meeting.

For reference, that the heating season started in Kazan on October 5. Today, heating is provided in all apartment buildings and social facilities. By autumn, heating networks and hot water supply networks with a length of more than 41 km were replaced and reconstructed in the city, main and intra-block heating networks with a length of 1.9 thousand km were crimped. Three boiler houses of Kazenergo JSC were modernized at the addresses: 5 Kurchatov St., 5 Zhukovskogo St., 6 Topolevaya St., and a new block-modular complex for seven apartment buildings on Yuzhno-Promyshlennaya St. was put into operation.
