The progress of work in the residential building where disabled people live was inspected by the head of the Executive Committee of Kazan Rustem Gafarov.
In the Privolzhsky district of Kazan, the renovation of the residential building at 43 Dubravnaya Street has begun, where people with disabilities live – rehabilitants of the Voskhozhdenie handicap center. Under the renovation program, the roof will be repaired in the building and a weather control unit will be installed, more than 21 million rubles have been allocated for these works. The progress of the work was inspected by the head of the Executive Committee of Kazan Rustem Gafarov.
To date, the work has been completed by almost 50%. Ten construction workers are engaged in two shifts at the facility. Rustem Gafarov inspected the entrances of the house and went up to the attic, where work is underway. He instructed to complete the work on time and control the interaction of the property management company with residents in order to promptly respond to their appeals.
117 people live in a four-storey building with a total area of 4,500 square meters, built in 2006. Earlier, maintenance works were carried out in the building: the central heating and hot water supply system was replaced, and ramps were installed. In 2022, the yard was landscaped. Presently, the whole area of the roof is being overhauled.
Insaf Kadirov, director of the contractor company Stroymir LLC, said that the seam roofing will be carried out here. The complexity of the arrangement of such a coating is that smooth metal sheets are harvested directly on site – they are adjusted to the size, and then fastened together with two locks. “Such fixation is quite time-consuming and requires a lot of effort. In particular, it is important to connect all the junctions very precisely,”- he said.
For reference, this year, 223 apartment buildings will be overhauled under the renovation program in Kazan. Their total cost is about 2.5 billion rubles. In addition, thanks to funding from the republican budget, the overhaul will be carried out at two objects of cultural heritage. To date, 66.5% of the city's housing stock has been renovated.
