The tourist potential of the capital of Tatarstan has been presented in Barcelona

The exhibition center “Kazan Expo” where WorldSkills Kazan-2019 will take place was presented at the exhibition IBTM World.

(KZN.RU, November 28). Tourist potential of Kazan was presented today at the IBTM World exhibition in Barcelona (Spain). Daria Sannikova, the director of the Committee for Tourism Promotion, told the exhibitors and invited guests about our city and the new international exhibition center “Kazan Expo” where the Championship WorldSkills Kazan-2019 will take place.

After the presentation, the guests were able to take part in the gift draw and taste the Tatar national dish chak-chak, Tatar tea and alcohol drinks from Tatarstan.

Kazan for the first time takes part in the IBTM World exhibition, the leading tourism forum, the theme of which is traditionally the organization of conferences, seminars and business meetings, corporate tourism and special events. The IBTM World is designed to promote the development of business tourism and the strengthening of business bonds. The exhibition runs from 27 to 29 of November.

The promotion of Kazan in the Russian and international tourist markets is carried out on a regular basis. Thus, in 2016, a large-scale tour of the million-plus population cities of Russia took place, in which the delegation of Kazan visited 8 cities in 1.5 months: Ulyanovsk, Samara, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa, Volgograd, Novosibirsk, and Perm. In 2017, within the framework of a special presentation tour, the tourist potential of Kazan was presented in a number of cities in the Volga region: Cheboksary, Kirov, and Yoshkar-Ola. At the international level, the delegation of Kazan visited Madrid in April 2017, took part in the celebration of Sabantui in Paris in May, and conducted a press tour to Riga in August.

In January 2018, Kazan took part in the largest tourism exhibitions in Istanbul and Madrid, and in March, the tourist potential of the city was presented at an exhibition in Paris. In September, the city was presented in Shanghai during the visit of representatives of the tourism sector at the invitation of the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Kazan. In October, Kazan took part in the World Travel Show in Warsaw. The guests of the presentation tried tea with chak-chak, they learned about the sights of the city and attended a virtual tour of Kazan.
