Currently, the Government of Tatarstan is preparing a resolution on the organization of payments. According to Liliya Galimova, head of Tatarstan President’s Press Office, the families of the victims will receive 1 million rubles each. Seriously injured will receive 400 thousand rubles, and 200 thousand rubles – lightly wounded.
Following the results of the Commission, it was decided to inspect all educational establishments of the republic and enhance security measures. In addition, Rustam Minnikhanov instructed to conduct a concentrated inspection of all owners of the weapon in Tatarstan.
For information, the tragedy occurred this morning at the gymnasium №175 of the Sovetsky district. 12 May was declared a day of mourning in Tatarstan, school classes were canceled.
According to recent data, nine people were killed – seven children and two adults. “Eighteen children remain in the Children’s Republican Clinical Hospital. Unfortunately, there are people with the gunshot wounds, with fractures and contusions. Doctors do their best to save the lives of our children. In addition, two adults remain in the City Hospital №7 and one is in the Republican Clinical Hospital. They also received gunshot wounds. Doctors do their best. We are expecting a plane from Moscow. If necessary, federal medical centers will also provide support,” - Tatarstan President said.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, and Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin expressed their condolences to the families and relatives of the victims killed at the Kazan school.
