R. Minnikhanov to participants of the WorldSkills Russia: “We are proud that you are in Tatarstan today”

The VII National Championship “Young Professionals” is ended in Kazan.

(KZN.RU, May 24). The closing ceremony of the VII National Championship WorldSkills Russia was held today in Kazan at the ice palace “Tatneft Arena”. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, Olga Vasilieva, the minister of Education of the RF, and others took part in it.

The ceremony began with a vocal and choreographic prolog, and then the audience watched a video message from the ambassadors of the WorldSkills international championship. Olga Vasilieva and Rustam Minnikhanov also addressed the participants with welcoming words.

O. Vasilieva noted that Russia has an amazing history, and participation in the WorldSkills movement is a clear confirmation of this. According to her, the VII National WorldSkills Russia Championship in Kazan became the launching site for the 45th World Championship. “I want us to win it. It is a very good quality of the organization, and I think that we meet all international standards”, she marked.

The Russian Minister of Education also noted that the VII National Championship and the 45th World Championship WorldSkills is a big step forward for the development of vocational education. “Within the framework of the national project “Young Professionals”, there will be not just a strong material and technical equipment, but, above all, the content and quality of education”, said O. Vasilieva.

Rustam Minnikhanov, addressing the ceremony participants, noted that “the best of the best from all over Russia” gathered here. “The National Championship “Young Professionals” in Kazan was visited by a huge number of young people from our republic and other regions. The best of the best from around the country are here. You are the finalists of the big competition. Someone is the first today, and the other is the second, but you are still the best. We are proud that you are in Tatarstan today. We are waiting for you in August at the world championship WorldSkills, in which, of course, our country should perform well”, he said.

Further, the awarding ceremony of the winners in the competencies of “Pre-school education” and “Teaching in elementary grades” took place.

Then Olga Vasilieva and Rustam Minnikhanov started the relay race of the flag of the world championship WorldSkills Kazan 2019 in Tatarstan.

The Republican relay starts in Nizhnekamsk. Relay flag WorldSkills Kazan 2019 covered 24 regions of Russia, as well as 20 countries and the International Space Station. The final point of the relay will be the opening ceremony of the 45th World Championship in WorldSkills in Kazan.

More than 1.5 thousand contestants, including 363 juniors, participated in the finals of the VII National Championship “Young Professionals (WorldSkills Russia)” in Kazan. 91 competencies were presented at the competition, as well as 23 competencies of the block “Future Skills”. Participants of WorldSkills Russia Juniors competed in 48 competencies. Competitions of the National Championship were held according to the competencies of six blocks of professions: construction, information and communication technologies, creativity and design, production and engineering technologies, services, as well as transport and logistics.

The final competitions of the championship took place from 21 to 23 of May at the site of the international exhibition center “Kazan Expo”. The opening ceremony took place on May 20 in the ice palace “Tatneft Arena”, reports the press service of the President of the RT.
