Kazan is preparing to host the European Olympic qualifying tournament in rugby-7 among women's teams

The list of participants of the upcoming tournament will be determined at the first stage of the European Championship that will take place in France on June 29-30.

(KZN.RU, June 25). The European Olympic qualifying tournament for rugby-7 among women's teams will be held in Kazan on July 13-14. Twelve women's European teams will compete for the main championship trophy at the Central Stadium.

The list of participants of the upcoming tournament in Kazan will be determined at the first stage of the European Championship that will take place in France on June 29-30. The nine best teams in this stage will come to Kazan. Two more teams will be added from the division “Trophy”, one from the division “Conference”.

The winner of the competition goes directly to the Olympics 2020 in Japan. The teams that took second and third places will continue to fight in the next round of the tournament “Repechage”.

Kazan hosts the Olympic qualifying tournament for the first time. Before that, there were stages of the European Rugby Championship-7 among women's teams from 2015. Also in 2017 and 2018, the Russian national rugby-7 team became the winner.
