Tatarstan Minister of Sports: negotiations are underway with 71 countries on the participation of their athletes in the BRICS Games

According to Vladimir Leonov, the competitions will take place at 17 sports venues in Kazan

The organizers of the BRICS Games are negotiating with representatives of 71 countries about the participation of their athletes in the competition. This was announced by the Tatarstan Minister of Sports, Vladimir Leonov.

“The competitions will take place in about three months. This is also a huge project, more traditional, unlike the Games of the Future, so to speak, more understandable. Nevertheless, 30 sports and a huge number of countries,”- TASS quoted the minister as saying.

As Vladimir Leonov noted, almost two weeks of competition days will be held at 17 venues. A meeting of all BRICS sports ministers is expected. “Preparations are underway, the format is clear, but there is very little time,”- he added.
