Teachers of two art schools in Kazan became laureates of the annual artist's award.
(KZN.RU, September 3, Ekaterina Vislavskaya). Two Kazan teachers became laureates of the city award named after Konstantin Vasiliev in the field of Fine Arts. The awarding ceremony was held today in the museum of the artist, Evgenia Lodvigova, the first deputy head of the Kazan Municipality, presented the awards.
The awarding ceremony is timed to the birthday of Konstantin Vasiliev on September 3. Today, the museum of his name brought together artists, sculptors, teachers, and heads of art schools. Representatives of the Department of Culture of the Kazan Executive Committee, including its head Azat Abzalov, also congratulated the winners.
“We are proud of the fact that Konstantin Vasiliev is our fellow countryman. An outstanding man, a magnificent artist, whom we are proud of”, said Evgenia Lodvigova. “A huge number of applications were sent to the competition, and the jury selected the finalists very carefully and thoughtfully. I am sure that there is a huge amount of creative people who live and work in Kazan and, most importantly, transfer their knowledge to the students. Therefore, I want to say words of gratitude to all contestants”.
The certificate of the laureate and the Konstantin Vasiliev Prize awarded to Galina Orlova, a teacher of the children's art school №1, and Natalia Tyazhelova, the deputy director for teaching and educational work and the teacher of the children's art school №4. In addition, Letters of Gratitude from the Mayor of Kazan were given to the management and teachers of some art schools in the city. At the end of the festival, participants went on an excursion around the museum.
The award has been established by the Kazan Executive Committee to support the best teachers of children's art schools, art departments of music schools and art schools of the city, as well as perpetuating the name of the outstanding artist Konstantin Vasiliev. It is awarded based on the results of work for the past three years. The special competitive commission includes representatives of the city administration, the Department of Culture, the Department of Education, the museum, secondary, and higher educational institutions of culture and art. They assess the achievements of the teachers themselves, whether the introduction of innovative teaching methods and the popularization of creativity by Konstantin Vasiliev, as well as achievements of their students.
