(KZN.RU, December 11). More than 1500 Kazan citizens visited the book festival in the “Smena”. At the event dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the Center for Contemporary Culture, they listened to lectures, selected books and even took a ride on an unmanned taxi.
On December 8 and 9, the guests of the festival together with the lecturers discussed the philosophy of time, robots-writers, what the book market will look like in a year and how art will change in 20 years.
Visitors were able to choose books from more than 10 thousand titles, among which were the latest novelties of winter.
Also, book lovers had the opportunity to get on an excursion to Innopolis. The five winners of the competition visited the main locations of the city and were among the first in Russia to ride an unmanned taxi.
The guests of the festival also visited a tour of the new concept-store “Nature”. They learned how to choose the plants for their interior and what to do to keep them blooming as long as possible.
Despite the end of the festival, the anniversary of the “Smena” will continue with a New Year program. From December 30 to January 10, the Center will host about 50 events: film screenings, lectures, children's workshops, and much more, reports the press service of the CCC “Smena”.
