The volunteers also plan to create the narrowest back alley in the city between the houses 18 and 18/20 on Parizhskaya Kommuna street.
Activists of the “Tom Sawyer fest” – historical environment restoration festival will restore the facade of the merchant Vaf Bigaev's house on 18 Parizhskaya Kommuna street. Volunteers will start work on August 22.
This year, the activists planned to restore the monument of wooden architecture-the Pokrovsky house at 6 Schmidt street.
“We decided to postpone the renovation of the Pokrovsky house until next year, caused by the long coordination of repairs, - said Dmitry Polosin, coordinator of the festival in Kazan. – We have long thought about which house to choose, and decided to restore the house of the merchant Vaf Bigaev”.
Activists plan to renew the paint on the facade of the house and return the brickwork on the ground floor.
In addition, the volunteers plan to create the narrowest back alley in Kazan, it will be located between houses 18 and 18/20 on Parizhskaya Kommuna street. “The width of the alley is no more than one meter, the widest place is 1 meter 40 cm. This is a new cozy place for walks of citizens, we plan to name it Vaf Bigaev alley”, – said D.Polosin.
