I International Contest of Young Composers was held in Kazan

94 young composers from 14 countries took part in 3 categories of the contest.

The I International Contest of Young Composers, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the composer Sofia Gubaidullina, has finished in Kazan. It was held online from November 20 in the following categories: Composition for orchestra, Composition for chamber ensemble and Vocal composition.

Among the contest participants were 94 young composers from 14 countries: France, Austria, Serbia, Norway, the Netherlands, the United States, Iraq, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Russia.

The works of the winners will be performed at a gala concert in Kazan by the Moscow Ensemble of contemporary music, the New music chamber orchestra, the La Primavera chamber orchestra and the Kazan Nury orchestra of folk instruments.
