<p> On April 1, a two-month sanitary cleaning and landscaping campaign will start in Kazan, which will last until May 31. Contractors have already started re–equipping cleaning vehicles for summer operation – as many as 591 vehicles will be used in road cleaning this season. Igor Kulyazhev, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee, reported on this at the staff meeting. </p> <p> «The upcoming summer season poses new tasks including the two-month sanitary cleaning of the city. We have to put the streets, courtyards, and public spaces in order», – said Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan. </p> <p> The winter road operation period will officially end on April 15. As many as 591 cleaning vehicles, including vacuum and sweeper machines, combined road vehicles and other specialized vehicles, will be used during the summer maintenance of the road network. </p> <p> A two-month sanitary cleaning and landscaping campaign starts in the city, which will last from April 1 to May 31. </p> <p> The contractors in the housing and utilities services and landscaping sector – management companies and municipal road enterprises, will implement the first stage of cleaning. They will cover up to 23 million square meters and repair the road network, put fences, bus shelters and other infrastructure. </p> <p> A two-month cleaning campaign will end with a citywide clean-up day on April 25. Its format will change: residents will be able to pre-select cleaning locations and register online. </p>
