Ilsur Metshin inspects the replacement of the reservoir in the Sovetsky city district

<p> In Kazan, construction of a section of the Novo-Ometyevsky reservoir with a length of approximately 100 meters along Ametyevskaya Magistral Street, will be completed by September. The new section is being built using a micro tunneling method. The use of modern, durable pipes at this new section will allow operating it for a century. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin held an on-site meeting where he inspected the site after the reconstruction, which is designed to transport wastewater from nearly three thousand facilities in the area. </p> <p> “Major repairs are taking place not only in social facilities, but also in municipal networks. Last year, there were 1,300 incidents on the networks of Vodokanal Municipal Unitary Enterprise, and 400 incidents in the first half of this year. Overall, in the 1,000-year-old city of Kazan, networks are 70% worn out. A lot of work is underway, but so far it is being done only by Vodokanal. We hope that federal and regional programs will be implemented, and the reliability of water supply, sewage and other city networks will significantly improve,”- said the Mayor of Kazan. </p> <p> Today, the overall completion rate is 60% and all work is expected to be finished by September. The contractor for this project is LLC RegionPromStroy. </p> <p> A meeting was attended by the Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the City, Iskander Giniyatullin, the Head of the Administration of the Sovetsky city district, Roman Fatkhutdinov, and others. </p>
