Kazan will celebrate the Day of Russia at 12 sites for the first time

The festive program will end with a concert on the Kremlin Embankment and fireworks.

(KZN.RU, June 10, Ksenia Shvetsova). On June 12, Kazan will celebrate the Day of Russia at 12 different sites for the first time. The residents and guests of the city will enjoy the opening ceremony of the 50-meter flagpole, entertainment programs in parks and squares, creative master classes, patriotic events, and a big concert on the Kremlin Embankment with famous stars, which will end in colorful fireworks. Azat Abzalov, the head of the Department of Culture, told about the holiday program for June 12 at the Business Monday today.

The holiday will begin at 10 am with the opening ceremony of the 50-meter flagpole and the raising of the national Russian Federation flag in Pobedy Park. The installation of the flagpole is carried out in the framework of the national cultural and patriotic program “Derzhava 21 Vek”, implemented on the initiative of the Public Chamber of the RF. “Similar 50-meter flagpoles have already appeared in Volgograd and Omsk. By 2020, they are planned to be installed in all regions of the country”, added A. Abzalov.

During the day, residents and guests of the capital will be able to take part in the celebration in the parks and squares of the city. The festive program “Russia, my Motherland” will take place in the Uritsky Park. There will be creative master classes and a concert for visitors. And the program “Live, my Russia” will take place in the park in Derbyshki.

At 11 am, festive events will begin in the parks “Krylya Sovetov” and “Kaleidoscope”. City creative bands will perform, and an interactive game program is organized for young visitors. This day, the Gorky Park will host a parade of the friendship of nations, a gala concert and folk games from the Assembly of Peoples of the RT.

At noon, the finalists of the Republican festival of gifted children and youth “Sozvesdie-Yoldizlyk” will present a gala concert on the square in front of the G. Kamal Theater.

At 4 pm, youth concert programs will begin on the territory of the Gorkinsko-Ometievsky forest and the Belye Tsvety Boulevard on Absalyamov Street.

The culmination of the celebration of the Day of Russia will be a concert on the Kremlin Embankment. The best creative teams, masters of arts and bands of the republic, as well as Russian pop stars the band “Brothers Grimm” and Slava Slame, the winner of the project “Songs on TNT”, will perform there at 6 pm.

The Day of Russia will end at 10 pm with fireworks. You can watch them from the water area of the Kazanka River.
