Since May 28, 2009, a collection of documents and legal acts of the municipal formation of the city of Kazan has been published. By the decision of the Kazan City Duma № 21-40, this publication was determined to be the official source of publication of documents. This form is designed for the convenience of readers.

In the Collection of documents and legal acts of the Kazan Municipality and orders of the Mayor of Kazan, decisions of the Kazan City Duma, orders and resolutions of the Executive Committee of Kazan and other relevant messages and documents of citywide importance are published in Kazan.

The first two issues of the collection were published in Russian. Since June 11, 2009, the publication has been available in the two official languages of Tatarstan: Russian and Tatar.

Two newspapers, “Kazanskiye Vedomosti” and “Shakhri Kazan”, which previously published all decisions and resolutions of the city authorities, retain their status as official sources of publications for documents and legal acts of the Kazan municipality.

Since the beginning of 2011, online version of the collection is posted on the official website of local government in Kazan every Thursday.
The archival issues of the collection of documents and legal acts of the municipality of the city of Kazan are stored in the city libraries.
Since June 1, 2024, in accordance with the decision of the Kazan City Duma № 21-29 of April 26, 2024 on “Amendments to the Charter of the Municipality of Kazan," the official publication of municipal legal acts will be considered to be their first publication in full text on the online platform “Municipal Legal Acts and Other Official Information.”
