Journalists and bloggers are invited to Kazakhstan in the expedition “Legends of the South”

The participants will see the medieval architectural masterpieces and visit the unique natural objects of South Kazakhstan.

(KZN.RU, April 11). From 20 to 27 of April, the tourist expedition “Legends of the South” will be held in Kazakhstan. Bloggers and journalists of online publications will see the sights and nature reserves of the southern region of the country.

During the expedition to the Turkestan and Dzhambul regions of Kazakhstan, the participants will be shown Karakhan mausoleums of the XI-XII centuries, Tekturmas of the XIV century, Aisha-Bibi XI-XII centuries, Akyrtas palace complex (VIII-XII centuries), and Taraz mound (I-XVIII centuries). Bloggers and journalists will see the tulip festival, including the Red Book species, climb the Kazygurt mountain range, and visit the Aksu Canyon, one of the most scenic spots of the oldest reserve in Kazakhstan and one of the largest and deepest canyons in Central Asia. The route of the expedition will pass through Akmeshit Cave, with which many legends are associated and which is a pilgrimage site, mausoleums of Domalak-An, Arystan Bab, Khoja Akhmed Yassavi, and Sauran mound. At the end of the expedition, the participants will attend a concert of the music schools of the country and the Philharmonia.

Kazakhstan is the richest country in terms of historical monuments. There are the masterpieces of architecture and medieval cities that have arisen on the routes of the Great Silk Road. Currently, about 25 thousand monuments of history and culture are under the protection of the state. The Khoja Akhmed Yassavi Mausoleum and Tamgaly petroglyphs became known to the whole world. In 2003, they were included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. There are about 1100 monuments on the territory of Zhambyl region.
