The Kazan citizens can join the international event «The hour of Earth»

On March 30 the building illumination of the Executive Committee and the City Hall will be switched off for a hour.

(KZN.RU, March 29). The international event «The hour of Earth» will be held on March 30. Traditionally, the Kazan City Hall will join it as well - this day the building illumination of the Executive Committee and the City Hall will be switched off for a hour.

Everyone can take part in the event - it is just necessary from 20.30 pm till 21.30 pm to switch off building illumination, electric devices not connected with safety of the citizens' vital activity, as well as other measures aimed at the reduction of energy consumption.

We will remind «The hour of Earth» is the international event, during which the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) calls to switch off light for one hour as a sign of unindifference to the future of the planet. At the present it is the most mass ecological event on the planet. More than 2 bn persons worldwide in 188 countries participate in it, illumination of more than 18 thousand architectural monuments is switched off, inform the organisers.

In Russia «The hour of Earth» was held for the first time in 2009, more than 30 million country citizens participate in it. The issue of «The hour of Earth» in Russia is «Be responsible for nature!».
