The first electric vehicle charging station will be equipped in courtyard of the house in Kazan

It will be equipped during the overhaul of the yard on Volgogradskaya str., head of the Kazan Executive Committee Rustem Gafarov inspected the work.

Innovative devices will be equipped during a comprehensive overhaul of the yard and three houses in the Moskovsky district of Kazan-on the territory near houses No.2 on Volgogradskaya Street and No.150, 152 on Dekabristov Street. Rustem Gafarov, head of the Executive Committee of the city, got acquainted with the progress of the work.

The parking area will expand to 51 parking spaces with one space for the disabled

The asphalt pavement is being renovated in the courtyard, after that the workers will install outdoor lighting and small architectural forms. Sports and children's grounds, new pedestrian paths will be equipped in the courtyard. In addition, the existing trees on the territory will be preserved – linden and apple trees grow on the site.

The car parking area will also increase, after the overhaul it will expand to 51 parking spaces. At the request of residents, one parking space for the disabled will be organized, the contractors reported. “There is no need to wait for people to ask. As part of the overhaul, it is always necessary to equip spaces for the disabled with all the standard signs and road markings. I will ask you to send such a request to all contractors,” - said R.Gafarov.

A unique feature of the yard will be an electric vehicle charging station. According to Oleg Kalimov, director of the Moskovsky property management company, a separate parking space will be equipped; it will be located behind the garages near the container site. “Electric cars are the future. There are about 10 thousand users of such cars in Russia, but according to forecasts, their number will increase several times from 2025. We must create the infrastructure to make our city eco-friendly. There are already more than 20 electric vehicle charging stations in Kazan, all of them are located in public places. We need them in the courtyards as well,” - he said.

Landings and corridors will be illuminated through solar panels

Two solar panels will be installed on Volgogradskaya Street, 2 built in 1964. They will be installed on the roof to supply electricity to public areas – entrances, corridors, lofts, etc. “Since last year, lamps with such panels have been installed on container sites where there is no outdoor lighting. Their charge is enough to work until 11 pm, even in winter”, - O.Kalimov said. According to him, this will allow to reduce household expenses.

As the head of the Executive Committee of Kazan was informed, earlier only redecoration was carried out in a five-story brick house. Now the engineering networks, the heating system, cold and hot water supply are being changed at the facility, the sewerage and electricity supply networks, the roof and the front are being renovated. Soon the workers will start painting and “hide” all the wires in the boxes. The work will be completed next week.

In addition, the old electric power meters will be replaced with new ones. Readings from smart metering devices are taken automatically and transmitted to the server of the supplying company.

R.Gafarov drew attention to the creation of an accessible environment infrastructure. According to the project, there were no lifts for children and wheelchairs at the entrances. The head of the Executive Committee of Kazan instructed to complete the project. As the residents told, they have been waiting for overhaul for a long time and are satisfied with the progress of the work.

It is planned to complete all the work in autumn.
