Vladimir Putin will hold an annual big press conference

A record number of Russian and foreign journalists, more than 1700 people, accredited to the meeting with the President of Russia.

(KZN.RU, December 20). Today, an annual big press conference of Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation, will be held in the World Trade Center in Moscow. A record number of media representatives, 1702 Russian and foreign journalists, received accreditation for the event, according to kremlin.ru.

The press conference will be the fourteenth in a row for Vladimir Putin as head of state. However, this meeting is the first in the new presidential term.

The duration of the press conference is not limited in time. Thus, the total time of such meetings was 43.5 hours since 2001, when V. Putin first met with journalists in the same format, reports RIA “Novosti”. The record for the duration of the event was set in 2008 when it lasted 4 hours and 40 minutes. During this time, the President answered 106 questions from media representatives. Last year’s meeting was limited to 3 hours and 40 minutes, the head of state was able to highlight 73 acute questions from 54 journalists.

The live broadcast of today's press conference will be conducted by leading federal television channels and radio stations. The beginning is at 12 pm.
