Delivery of envelopes will be carried out from 2 to 8 May.
More than 23 thousand veterans of the Great Patriotic War, home front workers and survivors of siege from Tatarstan will receive letters of congratulation from the President of Russia. Specially designed envelopes will be created by the postal service by May 9, and the delivery will be carried out from 2 to 8 May.
It is planned that veterans will receive congratulatory letters regardless of their location during the holidays. If necessary, the post office staff will find out the new place of residence of the recipient of the letter. If the recipient is not at home, the letter will be stored in the nearest post office for a month, and the post office employee will try to deliver the letter again during this time. Letters are handed to the addressees in person, a signature is not required.
In total, more than 800 thousand Russian citizens will receive letters of congratulation from the Russian President, Tatarstan Post Office’s Press Service reports.
