The Russian singer plans to continue to cooperate with the winners of the festival.
(KZN.RU, November 30, Alsu Safina). The festival “Good Wave” is held for the second time on the initiative of Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, and composer Igor Krutoy and gives a chance to children with disabilities to show their talent. Singer Valeria said this today at a press conference in Kazan. Today, along with other Russian pop stars, Philipp Kirkorov, Yuliana Karaulova, and Sergey Lazarev, she will perform at a gala concert of the festival, which this year has covered 9 cities in the country.
“It's nice to be a member of such a project. There are a lot of talented children in our country. It is important to give a chance to express themselves, especially for children with disabilities or in difficult life circumstances”, said Valeria in a conversation with journalists. “The idea of the festival is magnificent. I am glad that it is already underway on such a scale. I am burning with impatience to hear all the winners”.
Valeria said that her participation in the project will not be limited to performance at the concert. “We are planning a number of events next year, we will interact with the winners, come up with something creative”.
The festival “Good Wave” was created in 2017 on the initiative of Ilsur Metshin and composer Igor Krutoy. It is a platform for the joint creativity of all children, regardless of the limitations of their physical health. On one stage, wards of orphanages, children left without parental care, children from large and low-income families, children with disabilities, and others show their creative talents.
The festival “Good Wave” is held by the Kazan City Hall and the Igor Krutoy Academy of Popular Music with the support of the Government of the RT and the Foundation for Presidential Grants.
The “Good Wave” is one of the projects of 66 non-profit organizations of the city, which received support from the Foundation for Presidential Grants for the implementation of their projects (the total amount of grants is almost 118 million rubles). Thanks to a grant this year, the festival expanded its geography. Selection rounds were held in 9 cities of Russia: Kazan, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar, Sevastopol, Vladivostok, and Kursk.
130 talented children from all over the country reached the final of the competition. Qualifying rounds were held in the following directions: music (vocals, gestural singing, playing the instrument); choreography; stage art (original genre, reading).
From November 26, the finalists of the regional tours of the “Good Wave” are staying in Kazan and hone their skills at master classes and creative evenings. For 3 days, honored artists, popular performers, actors and dancers shared with the children the secrets of mastery, and also gave tips on improving skills.
Today, a festival gala concert with the participation of Russian pop stars is taking place at the KRK “Pyramid”.
