(KZN.RU, July 12, Alina Berezhnaya). A mobile application Tatarstan Tourist Pass has been launched for tourists in Tatarstan. You can get discounts in institutions, make a tourist route, and pay for purchases with it. Dilbar Sadykova, the general director of the ANO “Center for Tourism Development of the RT”, announced it today at the presentation of the application in the museum tea culture “Chak-Chai”.

Tatarstan Tourist Pass is a unique product; it is easy to use and does not require prepayment, according to Sergey Ivanov, the chairman of the State Tourism Committee of the RT.

“The classic guest card is implemented on a prepaid basis. Such a system is used in major cities of the country and Europe. Tourists must first buy a card with already included visits to certain museums, as well as loyalty programs in institutions”, explained S. Ivanov. The Tatarstan Tourist Pass application works by a completely different principle, continued the speaker. “The card is free; when you visit museums and attractions, you pay with a discount. It seems to us that such a system is more convenient. The tourists will pay only for establishments they have visited”, noted the chairman of the State Tourism Committee of the RT.

Also, a virtual card can be tied to mobile wallets Apple Wallet, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay. You can pay for purchases without creating a separate physical card.

Users of smart applications can participate in loyalty programs and also make up their tourist route. The program contains illustrated city guides of the republic: historical and cultural reviews, a description of the main attractions, information about hotels and hostels, shops and supermarkets, as well as a billboard of events. “Our application is still running in test mode. In the future, we plan to add services, offline-map, make a separate event calendar with the ability to receive push notifications”, said Dilbar Sadykova. She added that since June, more than 200 users downloaded the application.

The application contains proposals from 20 museums and institutions of Kazan. Shortly, another 30 objects of the capital of the RT will join the project. Also, the application can be used in the Bulgar, Elabuga, Sviyazhsk, Chistopol, and Kamskoe Ustie.

According to Artur Abdrashitov, the director for Development of the ANO “Museum Society Vershina”, the application is convenient for promoting museums and attracting tourists. “We already have visitors who had installed this application. The system is convenient both for the tourists and the staff of the museums”, said A. Abdrashitov.
