The VII festival “Music of Faith” will be held in Tatarstan

<p> (KZN.RU, June 8). In June and July, the VII festival of sacred music “Music of Faith” (“Iman Mony”) will be held in Tatarstan. A feature of the concept of music event is thematic concerts devoted to the music of different denominations, in major tourist and pilgrimage centers of Tatarstan: Kazan, Bolgar, and the Sviyazhsk island. </p> <p> </p> <p> The opening of the festival will take place on the Sviyazhsk island on June 12. There will be two concerts: at 11 am in the Museum of the History of Sviyazhsk and at 12 pm in the Cathedral of the Theotokos “Joy of All Who Sorrow”. Bands and ensembles of sacred music will perform for guests of the festival: the State String Quartet of the RT, the Chamber orthodox choir “Preobrazhenie”, State Chamber Choir of the RT, the ensemble “Blagovest”, the quartet of the Sviyazhsky Holy Dormition Monastery, and the Metropolitan Choir of the Kazan Mother of God Monastery. </p> <p> </p> <p> The gala concert “Music of Faith” will be held on June 26 at 7 pm in the Cannon Court of the Kazan Kremlin. The State Chamber Choir of the RT, the chamber orchestra “New Music”, a school of ethnic drums “EthnoArt”, Radik Salimov, Alina Sharipzhanova (vocal), Ilgiz Shaikhraziev (vocal), Alexandra Boziyants (duduk), Anna Blagova (Tibetan bowls) will perform music of different religions and songs of the peoples of the world in original arrangements. </p> <p> </p> <p> The final concert of the festival will be held on July 21 in Bolgar. Famous Tatarstan performers and bands will take part in the open air. The program of the festive day includes music of Islam, Tatar folk songs, original works. </p> <p> </p> <p> The organizers of the forum are the Ministry of Culture of the RT and the State Concert Hall named after S. Saidashev. The Forum was established in 2012 in order to revive and popularize spiritual music culture, uniting people of different faiths, familiarizing wider audience to world music, as well as strengthen the image of Tatarstan as a center of tolerance and peaceful co-operation of people of different nationalities and religions. </p> <p> </p> <p> The entrance to the concerts is free, reports the GSCH named after S.Saidashev. </p>
