Leaders of the United Russia primaries were defined in Tatarstan

<p> (KZN.RU, May 28, Alina Berezhnaya). Today, leaders became known after a preliminary vote on the selection of candidates for state and local government from the political party “United Russia”. Farid Mukhametshin, the chairman of the State Council of the RT, headed the party list. This was reported at the VII meeting of the Presidium of the regional political council of the party “United Russia”. The meeting was attended by 13 out of the 15 members of the Presidium, the quorum for a decision was present. </p> <p> The preliminary vote took place in Tatarstan on May 26. More than 400 thousand voters took part in it. </p> <p> In total, 460 stations with 1909 members of counting commissions worked in the republic. Thus, voters could vote for the 222 candidates participating in the primaries. Liliya Mavrina, the secretary of the State Council of the RT, noted in her speech that voters could support several candidates indicated in the bulletins at once. In total, over 400 thousand voters took part in the preliminary voting. </p> <p> “We are improving according to the dynamics of the people's turnout, the residents of the republic are not indifferent to the elections. Turnout was 13.6%, it is significantly higher than the average for the Volga Federal District. People associate the future of the republic with our party”, said F. Muhametshin. </p> <p> All the candidates carried out extensive preparatory work during the primaries, noted L. Mavrina. Between April 3 and 15, candidates took part in 109 debates at 4 sites, where 12 current topics were raised. In addition, from April 15 to May 24, the candidates held 83 meetings with voters. “The candidates also personally held more than 300 campaign events: meetings with labor collectives, veterans, and actions attended by more than 22 thousand residents of the republic”, said L. Mavrina. </p> <p> All past candidates will be considered on June 20 at the XXX conference of the Tatarstan regional branch of the party “United Russia”, which will determine the lists of candidates. They will be included in the ballots in the elections of deputies to the State Council of the RT on September 8. </p>
