Sculptures of inhabitants of the Raifsky forest will be made of ice along with the symbols of the evangelists.
(KZN.RU, January 15). An ice town will open in the Raifa Monastery for the Epiphany, which is celebrated on the night of January 18-19. All sculptures are made of 100-kilogram ice boulders cut out from the Raifa Lake.
The ice town will have the shape of a cross. Sculptures of the inhabitants of the Raifsky protected forest (elk, eagle, bear, and other animals) will also be made in addition to the symbols of the evangelists an angel (a lion, a calf and an eagle). An open font will also be installed there. The perimeter of the town will be decorated with artistic lighting, according to the website of the Tatarstan Metropolis.
In addition, everyone will be able to see the sculptural compositions of snow and ice, which are installed on the territory of the Raifa Monastery. The figures were made on the eve of the Epiphany. The height of the largest sculpture is 9 meters. The exposition is decorated with six-meter images of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and Archangel Michael. The artists created a huge snow train for the youngest guests of the monastery and their parents. In the carriages, you can play and take pictures.
