Children will be offered a salad constructor at the Kazan school camps

This year, in the experiment, children at school camps will be able to independently choose ingredients for salads. If the experience proves to be successful, the innovation will be introduced in schools from the new school year. This was announced today at the Business Monday meeting by the director of the Department of Food and Social Nutrition of Kazan Rima Mukhamedshina.

Students will be offered to make salads from vegetables (for example, tomatoes, cucumbers and cabbage) and additional ingredients (for example, beans, crackers or butter). The ingredients for cold snacks will change daily. Also, children will be able to choose drinks: tea with sugar and without or coffee and compote.

According to Rima Mukhametshina, the experiment will be conducted in summer at school camps. In general, during the holidays, the department provides two hot meals a day to almost 17 thousand children at 128 educational institutions. The cost of the menu for one child per day is about 201 rubles.
