Kazan will host the architectural festival “Eco-Bereg” in early October

The participants will present projects for the improvement of the Volga embankment from the River Port to the Admiralteiskaya Sloboda.

(KZN.RU, July 24). From 4 to 6 of October, Kazan will host the VIII International Architectural Festival “Eco-Bereg”, organized by the Union of Moscow Architects and the Union of Architects of the RT.

Within the framework of the festival, a contest will be held to design a concept for the development of the Volga embankment from the River Port to the Admiralteiskaya Sloboda. The participants will have the task to restore the site on the territory of the Lokomotiv peninsula, create a comfortable embankment and harmoniously connect the new zone to the common urban area. In addition, the contestants will have to submit ideas on improving the ecological state of the territory.

Also, the program of the festival includes thematic exhibitions, scientific conference, lectures, and master classes with the participation of leading architects, excursions, and sports competitions.

Both beginners and experienced architects can take part in the competition. For this, you need to apply before August 17. Detailed information on the event can be found on the official website of the organizers, reports the Directorate of Parks and Squares of Kazan.

The competition is held with the support of the Cabinet of Ministers of the RT, the Kazan Executive Committee, and the Committee for Architecture and Urban Planning of Moscow.
