The entry of Kazan into the UNESCO Network of Creative Cities will be discussed in the CC “Moskovsky”

Anyone can attend the meeting.

(KZN.RU, May 22). Public hearings on the entry of the capital of Tatarstan into the UNESCO Network of Creative Cities begin in Kazan. The first meeting will be held on May 24 at the CC “Moskovsky”.

Citizens are urged to discuss the cultural life of the city and make their suggestions. Rustem Abyazov, the artistic director of the Kazan Chamber Orchestra “La Primavera”, Dmitry Bikchentayev, a singer, Nail Ibrahimov, the artistic director of the chamber ballet “Pantera”, Nikolai Belyaev, the artistic director of the chamber choir “Preobrazhenie” and a regent of the Nikolsky Cathedral, Daniyar Sokolov, the founder of the musical performance development foundation, Ilyas Gafarov, the head of the label Yummy Music, the general producer of the festival Tat Cult Fest, Alsu Sungatullina, a composer, and others are invited to the hearing. The meeting will be held at 11 am.

The settlements included in the UNESCO Network of Creative Cities promote their development strategies through the creative sector, implement significant projects and programs in their areas, and also work closely together to share experiences and enhance the effect of joint activities. By joining the UNESCO Network of Creative Cities, localities are committed to sharing their best practices and developing partnerships with the participation of the public and private sectors, as well as civil society.

Anyone interested can attend meetings to discuss Kazan’s application to join the UNESCO Network of Creative Cities. The schedule of meetings in the municipal cultural institutions can be found on the website.
