The volunteer team of Games of the Future includes almost a thousand volunteers from Kazan

<p> The team of volunteers of the international multisport tournament Games of the Future includes two thousand people, 967 of them are residents of Kazan, another 75 are representatives of the republic and 41 volunteers from other countries. </p> <p> The application campaign to recruit volunteers started in March. In total, about seven thousand applications were submitted from volunteers from all over the world, and half of them were representatives of 81 regions of Russia, another 290 were residents of other countries. </p> <p> More than 4,300 interviews with candidates took place in 19 Russian regions from September to December, where volunteer centers of Games of the Future were opened. All those wishing to become volunteers were interviewed, during which recruiters were able to learn more about the personal qualities, skills and motivation level of candidates. This helped to choose the right position for each volunteer. </p> <p> In January–February, a team of volunteers will be assigned and trained online and in person at the sport venues in Kazan. Volunteers are involved in more than 20 functional areas: they will help in interacting with the spectators, the operation of services (including navigation), as well as create an atmosphere of celebration and hospitality. </p> <p> Accommodation, transportation around the city and meals are provided for nonresident volunteers in Kazan. All volunteers will receive the uniform of Games of the Future and all the necessary attributes. A motivational program will be prepared for them as well, the Directorate of Sports and Social Projects reported. </p> <p> For reference, Games of the Future will take place in Kazan from February 21 to March 3, 2024. The competitions will combine 21 hybrid disciplines. Each of them combines the concept of phygital, including traditional sports and cyber sports or VR/AR technology. It is expected that more than 2.5 thousand participants from 100 countries take part in the Games, and up to 150 million people will watch the competitions online. </p>
