The consequences of flooding the boiler room are being eliminated in the Zalesny village in Kazan

<p> (KZN.RU, April 11, Ksenia Shvetsova). The work is underway to eliminate the consequences of flooding the boiler house in the Zalesny village in the Kirovsky district of Kazan. It is planned to finish them tonight. The boiler house, which serves 9 residential buildings and a kindergarten, is suspended until completion of the work. </p> <p> Ferdinant Timurkhanov, the head of the Civil Protection Directorate of Kazan, said during the visit to the site that a signal about the flooding of the boiler house in the village was received fr om the duty officer of the AO “Kazenergo" on April 10 at 6 pm. The work of the boiler room had to be temporarily stopped. </p> <p> When visiting the place, the specialists of the department found out that the reason for the flooding was a clay lock, which corked the pipe for draining melted water. After the construction of the houses of the first stage in the residential complex Salavat Cupere, meltwater was collected in a foundation pit, from wh ere it was to flow into a large ravine through a pipe. However, the pipe construction contractor was not finished and turned out to be clogged. The water from the fields came out of the pit and flooded the adjacent territory of the boiler room. “Contractors have not finished the storm sewage, the gap is about 12 meters”, explained F. Timurkhanov. “At the moment we have already cleared the foundation pit and dismantled the clay lock, the water flowed away from the pit after that. Now the pumping of water from the boiler room is continuing, the local residents are being alerted. The necessary forces and resources are available. We see no special problems for now”. </p> <p> The boiler house, which serves the kindergarten and 9 houses with 435 people, is planned to be launched with the completion of all works approximately by 11 pm. There was no flooding of these objects, for all necessary measures were taken in time. </p> <p> Kazan is constantly working to prevent the consequences of the flood, which this year was forecasted at the beginning of April due to heavy rainfall and high snow. Monitoring of problem zones is carried out in the daily mode, the most dangerous areas are examined by specialists, the equipment, boats and water-pumping mechanisms of the city search and rescue unit are prepared for use. </p>
