The All-Russian Day of sobriety will be celebrated in the Kazan park “Krylya Sovetov” with a festive concert

Church and folk choirs of Kazan temples, art groups, and singer and composer Alexander Druzhinin will take part in the event.

(KZN.RU, September 7). The All-Russian day of sobriety is celebrated on September 11, the day of the Beheading of the head of John the Baptist. On September 9, a gala concert will be held in the Kazan Park “Krylya Sovetov”.

Church and folk choirs of Kazan temples, art groups of the city, the singer and composer Alexander Druzhinin will take part in it. The concert will last from 3 pm to 8 pm.

On the day of the concert, “The Post of Sobriety” will operate in the park. Visitors will be given brochures about a healthy lifestyle.

On September 11, prayer services, meetings, conversations, processions, and other measures aimed at countering drug addiction, alcoholism, and tobacco smoking will be held in all the churches of Kazan.

On September 11 at 6 pm, a general prayer service and a meeting of the profile diocesan department and the Kazan diocesan society “Nrezvenie” will take place in the church of St. Sergius of Radonezh in Kazan.

Clerics, narcologists, psychologists, leaders and members of sobriety societies and rehabilitation centers, social organizations, addicted and co-addicted, as well as those who are looking for ways to save themselves from pernicious passions, are invited to take part in the events, according to the website of the Tatarstan Metropolia.
