The best merchandise item with the symbols of the city was chosen in Kazan

The winner will sign a contract with the Committee for tourism development for the production of tourist products in 2020.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan in Kazan summed up the results of the city contest of promotional items and folk crafts with the use of Kazan official identity. The best item has become a clutch, created by the designer Irina Bezpalova. She got an opportunity to sign a contract with the Committee for the tourism development for the production of promotional items in 2020.

The contest was held from October 3 to November 21 among the manufacturers and craftsmen, working in Tatarstan. 25 works were presented, made in the unique style of the city - sneakers, boots, tea things, magnets, souvenir plates, key cases, passport cover, dolls in national dresses and more.

Daria Sannikova - chair of the Committee for tourism development noted that the main goal of the contest is to collect the most successful items using the identity of Kazan. The selection criteria were the correct use of the identity, creative performance, focus on tourists, the use of artistic techniques. Together with Daria Sannikova, the work was evaluated by the chair of the Committee on merchandise and goods of national crafts of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan Dilyara Safina and her deputy Diana Basyrova

Daria Sannikova also reminded the local masters that the Committee is the right holder of the official identity of Kazan. “Until the end of 2020, entrepreneurs can enter into an agreement for the use of trademark for free. But it will be necessary to take into account the recommendations on the correctness of its use,” she said.

“Another important task for us is the active promotion of the tourist brand of Kazan not in the public areas of the city,” D. Sannikova noted. Therefore, a special guest was invited to the competition – the chief developer of the tourist identity of Kazan, designer and art director of Depot WPF Raushan Sultanov. For the participants of the competition, he held a seminar on the correct use of identity and its application in the production of promotional items, improvement of public areas of the city and the design of buildings.

The event was also attended by students of the faculties of design and applied arts, representatives of major tourist sites of Kazan, designers and representatives of advertising agencies of the city.
