The first international festival of national traditions “Khazine” will be held in Kazan for the first time

The open-air exhibition of craftsmen from different regions of the country will take place in the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda.

(KZN.RU, August 25, Ekaterina Vislavskaya). From August 30 to September 2, the I International Festival of National Traditions “Khazine” will take place for the first time in the pedestrian street K. Nasyru in the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda in Kazan. Marat Usmanov, the prefect of the territory “Sary Gorod”, spoke about the program of upcoming events at the staff meeting in the Executive Committee.

Participants of the festival will be masters and organizations from different regions of Russia. According to the prefect, representatives of such regions as Dagestan, Chuvashia, Mordovia and Mari El sent applications for participation. Russian cities will be represented by masters from Pskov, Yelets, Nizhny Novgorod, and Moscow. The “Khazine” program includes collective expositions of organizations of folk arts and crafts, manufacturers of products of Tatarstan and Russia, as well as master classes.

The festival is held to preserve, revive, and develop the cultural and traditional heritage of peoples, national art crafts, and ethnic original folklore, to support and popularize national traditions. The organizers are the Chamber of Folk Arts and Crafts of the RT, the Center for the Development of Folk Art crafts of the RT, and the prefecture “Stary Gorod”.
