The regional stage of the contest “Teacher of the Year of Russia” started in Kazan

10 Kazan teachers took part in the event.

(KZN.RU, March 13). The opening of the regional stage of the competition “Teacher of the Year of Russia-2018” was held on March 12 in Lyceum №177 of the Novo-Savinovsky district of Kazan. 10 Kazan teachers took part in it, each of which passed a competitive test “Methodological Seminar”.

The winners of the city contest “Teacher of the Year in Kazan-2018” in the nomination “Subject Teacher” are fighting for the title of the best teacher: Timur Vishnevsky, a history teacher of thegymnasium №19 in the Privolzhsky district, Roman Chebotarev, an English teacher of the school №98 of the Vakhitovsky district, Radik Khabirov, a physics teacher of the gymnasium №1 of the Vakhitovsky district, Dmitry Spiridonov, a history teacher of the school №175 of the Sovetsky district, Yulia Melnikova, a Russian and literature teacher of the gymnasium №122 of Moskovsky district, Ekaterina Rusakova, a chemistry teacher of the school №143 of the Novo-Savinovsky district. Also, there are winners in the nomination “Pedagogical debut”: Elvina Bekmurzaeva, a history teacher of the lyceum №121 of the Sovetsky district, Aisylu Bagapova, a biology teacher of the gymnasium №139 of the Privolzhsky district, Evgeny Lobanov, a history teacher of the gymnasium №19 of the Privolzhsky district, Oleg Smirnov, a computer science teacher of the school №144 of the Sovetsky district.

The regional stage of the contest will be held in two stages: a correspondence round and three full-time rounds. Correspondence round “Methodical portfolio” includes two competitive tests: “Internet resource” and an essay “I am a teacher”. Full-time competitive tests will be held at three venues of the city: the school №39 of the Vakhitovsky district in the nomination “Pedagogical debut”, the lyceum №177, and the school №179 of the Novo-Savinovsky district in the nomination “Teacher of the Year”.

Today teachers give lessons, and on March 14 and 15 there will be a second full-time round “Master Teacher”, a discussion on a given topic with solo performances and a common discussion in a group of 5 contestants, which composition is determined by a draw. Further, 5 finalists will continue to participate in the contest “Roundtable of educational politicians” with the participation of Rafis Burganov, the deputy prime minister of the RT and the minister of Education and Science of the RT.

The solemn ceremony of announcing and awarding the winners of the contest will be held on March 16 in the concert hall of the Volga State Academy of Physical Culture.
