The exhibition of the Mongolian artist “Country of Blue Sky” opens in the exhibition hall “Manege”

<p> (KZN.RU, July 12). Today, the exhibition of the Mongolian artist Oilan Zhanatkhan “Country of Blue Sky” opens in the exhibition hall “Manege”. It is dedicated to the Days of Mongolian Culture in Russia and the 80th anniversary of the victory on the Khalkin-Gol River. The exhibition includes 24 paintings and 11 original installations created by a Mongolian master over the past five years. </p> <p> Oilan Zhanatkhan is called “the creator of the blue”. The artist creates his paintings in a blue scale: from indigo to azure. The blue color is considered sacred in Mongolia. Oilan Zhanatkhan works in the traditions of postmodernism and surrealism. At the same time, one can find the influence of Mongolian national art in all his works. </p> <p> The central piece of the exhibition was the “Country”. The artist depicts the mysterious world of Mongolia, the “heavenly country”, inhabited by many mythical characters. The exposition is complemented by the original installation of a yurt with blue decoration. </p> <p> Oilan Zhanatkhan was born in 1971 in Ulan Bator, the capital of Mongolia. He is a graduate of the Mongolian Institute of Fine Arts, a member of the Mongolian Association of Artists. His exhibitions have already been held in Hungary, Germany, Ireland, Spain, Kazakhstan, USA, Turkey, and France. Also, Oilan Zhanatkhan is a winner of the Beijing Biennale, a participant in the Gwangju Biennale of Contemporary Art in South Korea, and other international exhibitions. In Russia, the artist's work was first seen in 2019. His exhibitions were held in Ulan-Ude, Irkutsk, St. Petersburg. After Kazan, the exhibition will go to the Crimea, reports the Kazan Department of Culture. </p>
