The championship of the Volga Federal District in judo among juniors will be held in Kazan

About 250 athletes from 14 regions of Russia will take part in the competition.

(KZN.RU, October 19). On October 20, Kazan will host the championship of the Volga Federal District in judo among juniors up to 21 years on the carpets of the Palace of Martial Arts “Ak Bars”.

About 250 athletes from 14 regions of the country will take part in the competition. Thus, athletes will represent such regions as the republics of Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Udmurtia, Mari El, Mordovia, Chuvashia, Perm Krai, Saratov, Samara, Orenburg, Penza, Nizhny Novgorod, Ulyanovsk, and Kirov Oblast.

Judo wrestlers will determine the strongest in 8 weight categories. Juniors will compete in weight categories up to 44 kg, up to 48 kg, up to 52 kg, and up to 57 kg, juniors up to 55 kg, up to 60 kg, up to 66 kg, and up to 73 kg.

The opening of the competition is scheduled for 4:30 pm; the start of fights on October 20 and 21 is at 11 am, reports the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the RT.
