(KZN.RU, May 24). Today, public hearings on the entering of the capital of Tatarstan to the network of creative cities of UNESCO took place in Kazan cultural center “Moskovsky”. They were attended by concerned residents of the city and cultural figures.
Since Kazan declares itself to be a creative city in the field of musical culture, well-known and novice musicians of the republic were invited to the hearings. for example, there, were students of the Kazan Conservatory, employees of cultural institutions of the city among them, as well as famous cultural figures. Rustem Abyazov, the artistic director of the Kazan Chamber Orchestra “La Primavera”, Nail Ibrahimov, the artistic director of the chamber ballet “Pantera”, Nikolai Belyaev, the artistic director of the chamber choir “Preobrazhenie” and a regent of the Nikolsky Cathedral, and many others took part in the hearing.
The participants of the hearings discussed the place of culture in the development of Kazan, the role of musical creativity and cultural institutions in the development of the city from a historical perspective. They also shared their opinions on the achievements of the capital of Tatarstan as a creative city.
The participants actively shared their views on what has been done recently in Kazan in the field of culture and also made their suggestions and comments on the draft application to UNESCO. Thus, Elena Belyaeva, the director of the chamber ballet “Pantera”, spoke of issues of partnership and exchange of experience with foreign groups and specialists. Dmitry Bikchentayev, the performer and creator of the ensemble “NeZaMi” (whose musicians are blind children and teenagers), spoke about the active life of their wards and the problems they face. Daniyar Sokolov, the founder of the musical performance development foundation “Sforzando”, told about parenting children by classical music. Composer Alsu Sungatullina presented the work of the Center Contemporary Music of Sofia Gubaidullina.
