A paperless week is held in Kazan

The waste collection, educational events, bookcrossing and much more are planned during the environmental campaign.

A paperless week is held in the city - from 21 to 27 of October the collection of waste paper and book crossing will be organized, the participants will have a chance to get a reusable mug, as well as discount for clothing and multi-use book purchase.

During the week, activists will install boxes for collecting waste paper. Also, during the campaign, it is proposed to stop using the takeaway cups– they are made of paper and plastic and cannot be recycled. Environment non-indifferent citizens are urged to replace disposable cups with reusable or thermos mugs. Also, during the week without a paper, the organizers will hold a fundraiser for planting trees at one of the social facilities of the city.

The week without paper is timed to the International paperless day, which is celebrated on October 24.
