The street of General Erin will appear in Kazan

This name is assigned to a new street in the RC “Yuzhnaya Polyana”.

(KZN.RU, July 12). The new street in the residential complex “Yuzhnaya Polyana” of the Privolzhsky district will bear the name of General Erin, a Russian statesman, Hero of the Russian Federation, a native of Kazan. The corresponding decree was signed in the Kazan Executive Committee.

Victor Erin is an Army General, who was born in 1944 in Kazan. His service in the internal affairs bodies began in 1964 as the district commissioner. Then he served in the internal affairs bodies of Tatarstan in posts from the operational commissioner to the head of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the TASSR, took part in the investigation of serious crimes, exposing especially dangerous criminal groups. From 1992 to 1995, he was the Minister of the Interior of the Russian Federation.

He was awarded the Hero of the Russian Federation, the Order of the Red Star, medals, and Gratitude to the President of the Russian Federation.
