A monument to Shigabutdin Mardjani will appear in Kazan

The monument will be installed near the mosque with the name of the great scientist.

(KZN.RU, September 24). A monument to the scientist Shigabutdin Mardjani will be installed in Kazan. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, announced this today in his annual address to the State Council of the RT.

“Shigabutdin Mardjani is a great personality of the Tatar world. This year marks the 200th anniversary of his birth. A to the great scientist monument will be opened not far from the mosque bearing his name”, said the head of the republic. “This will be a recognition of his enormous contribution to the development of our people”.

In addition, next year will mark 220 years since the birth of the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin. The President of the RT noted that the Center of Russian Culture, created by the great poet, would soon open its doors.

The event was held in Kazan in the GSCH of S. Saidashev. During the 40th meeting of the State Council of the fifth convocation of the RT, the President of Tatarstan declared 2019 the Year of Working Professions.
