The exhibition “Our Everything ...” opens in the gallery “Khazine”.
(KZN.RU, January 11, Ekaterina Vislavskaya). On January 19, the National Art Gallery “Khazine” invites Kazan citizens to the exhibition “Our Everything ...” by Alfrid Shaimardanov. The exposition includes paintings by a famous naive artist, created over 25 years.
His work is known far beyond Russia. In different years, A. Shaimardanov participated in the World Exhibition of Naive Art “INSITA” in Slovakia, the International Biennale of Cartoons in Spain, exhibitions of naive art in Latvia and the Czech Republic. His works are in the collections of the Museum of Naive Art in Moscow, the Museum of Organic Culture in Kolomna, the Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts, and private collections.
The artist has been painting since 1993. He is a vivid representative of the naive direction of fine art, one of the branches of primitivism. The exhibition in the gallery “Khazine” was named after the triptych “Our Everything ...”, in which the artist depicted famous Russian poets in symbolic abstract form of a rhombus.
“I exhibited a lot in Kazan, including personal exhibitions. There are people in Kazan who would like to see my paintings but there was no suitable place”, he explains. “It was decided to make a big survey exhibition. More than 60 paintings of a naive genre and an abstract character, which were written for 25 years”.
Initially, the opening of the exhibition was scheduled for January 18 but was postponed for a day. The exposition “Our Everything ...” is dedicated to the anniversary of the Kazan artist work and the 100th memory anniversary of Niko Pirosmani, a classic of naive painting.
