The Memory of Fyodor Chaliapin will be honored in Kazan

<p> (KZN.RU, February 9). The celebratory events timed to the 145th anniversary of the outstanding Russian artist F. Chaliapin will be held in Kazan on February 13. </p> <p> </p> <p> On this day, museum and city tours will take place, the State Chamber Choir of the RT will perform. The flashmob at the monument to the artist on Bauman Street will be held for the first time, in which participants will read the poetic lines about Chaliapin. Continuing the tradition of the last decades, the nominee for the Chaliapin’s scholarship 2018 will be announced, reports the National Museum of the RT. </p> <p> </p> <p> Program of events: </p> <p> </p> <p> 10 am-11 am – solemn divine service in the Epiphany Cathedral (Bauman Street, №78). </p> <p> </p> <p> 11 am-12.05 pm – solemn meeting at the monument to F. Chaliapin (Bauman Street, №80). </p> <p> </p> <p> 12.05 pm-1.30 pm – “Oh, where are you, the days of love, sweet dreams...”, a walking tour of the places connected with the young years of F. Chaliapin for all participants. </p> <p> </p> <p> 2 pm-3.45 pm – a tour of the exposition of the Literary and Memorial Museum of A. Gorky (Gorky Street, №10). </p> <p> </p> <p> 4 pm-6 pm – “The offering to F. Chaliapin”, a concert program with the participation of the State Chamber Choir of the RT under the conduction of M. Tamindarova, an Honored Artist of the RT. The Chaliapin’s scholarship will be awarded to the nominee of 2018 within the framework of the concert (Gorky str., №10). </p> <p> </p> <p> Kazan is the homeland of the musician, the childhood and the youth of the future artist passed here. The most vivid impressions of Fyodor Chaliapin were connected with the city theater. After decades, the first and only exposition dedicated to Chaliapin was created in the Museum of A. Gorky in Kazan. For more than 50 years, the museum has kept unique exhibits: the personal belongings of the singer, materials about his life and work, and Chaliapin's theme is equally represented along with Gorky’s. </p>
