Youth Day was celebrated in Kazan

Rustam Minnikhanov and Damir Fattakhov visited the festive site near the River Port.

(KZN.RU, June 27). Today, the Republican festival “Youth Day” is held in Kazan. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, Damir Fattakhov, the minister of Youth Affairs of the RT, Khalil Shaikhutdinov, the first deputy minister of Sport of the RT, visited the festive site in front of the main building of the River Port.

At the festival, various activity zones were organized for playing streetball, graffiti, street dancing, skate park, etc. The organizers also launched barbershop, cybersport, and street art.

Rustam Minnikhanov assessed the thematic platforms, the exhibition of installations and projects of young architects, and also tried his hand at the DJ console, reports the press service of the President of the RT.

“I congratulate you on Youth Day! I just saw a lot of interesting things. I did not think that there are such talents in our city”, said Rustam Minnikhanov from the stage. “We rely on youth. We have created a special ministry that should work not only with formal youth structures, but also with all young people. Today there were many interesting examples. We will always support you in everything”.

Rustam Minnikhanov also talked to the participants of the festival. Thus, 3x3 basketball fans asked the President of the RT to allocate space for the basketball court when landscaping under the Millennium Bridge. Rustam Minnikhanov supported the idea. Also, he approved the proposal to create an indoor skate park in Kazan.
