The coastal zone and the bottom of the Izumrudnoe Lake will be cleaned in Kazan

Scuba divers, activists and members of the Russian Geographical Society of the RT will join the cleaning.

(KZN.RU, July 26). On July 28, a large-scale ecological action to clean the coastal zone and the bottom of the reservoir will be held at the Izumrudnoe Lake in Kazan. Its participants will clear garbage from the coastal zone. Scuba divers of the Federation of Underwater Sports and members of the Russian Geographical Society will clean the bottom of the lake.

The organizers plan to clean the bottom of the lake area of up to 5 thousand square meters and the coastal zone. Scuba divers of the Federation of Underwater Sports of the RT and members of the Russian Geographical Society in the RT will be involved in cleaning the reservoir. The staff of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the RT, activists of environmental and social movements, and everyone wishing to support the action will join the cleaning.

Within the framework of the event, the ecological quest “Traces of presence” will take place. The ecological project is aimed at awakening interest in the careful attitude to nature. The participants will restore order on the coastal territory of Izumrudnoe Lake in the game form. The main goal of the game is to collect as many garbage bags as possible and clean the place to the perfect state. The participants of the youth movement “Budet Chisto” will conduct the quest, with the support of the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the RT.
