6 fonts will be equipped for the Epiphany in Kazan

<p> (KZN.RU, January 15, Alsu Safina). 6 fonts will be organized in Kazan for the Epiphany, one of the main Orthodox holidays, which the believers celebrate on January 19. Ilnur Shakirov, the head of the Department of the Development of Languages and Interaction with Public Organizations of the Kazan Executive Committee, reported this on the Business Monday. </p> <p> </p> <p> He said that the consecration of water in the temples will begin on January 19 during the morning festive service. The water in the fonts will be consecrated right after the festive divine service from 10 am to 12 pm. </p> <p> </p> <p> Believers in the Privolzhsky district can perform the baptismal ceremony after the consecration of water on the Verkhniy Kaban Lake from the side of Borisovskaya Street, №54 and near the Sokol Cafe (from Davlikeyevskaya Street № 8); in the Kirovsky District – on the Kazanka River near the Church of the Image of Christ The Savior and on the Volga River near the church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker (Privolzhskaya St. №32, in the residential community “Krasnaya Gorka”). In the Sovetsky district, the font will be on the Komsomolskoye Lake near the church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin on Parkovaya Street, №21a in the residential area “Derbyshky”; in Novo-Savinovsky district – in the chapel-font near the church in honor of the icon of the Our Lady of Kazan “The Life-giving Spring” at 5th Kadyshevskaya Street, №12 in the residential area “Savinovo”. </p> <p> </p> <p> “The necessary conditions are created for the celebration of the Epiphany in the places of the ritual. Also, the city civil protection services, emergency medical services, and police involved for ensuring the safety of Kazan citizens”, marked I. Shakirov. </p> <p> </p> <p> “As always, security during such events remains the top priority for us”, said Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, and urged doctors and law enforcement officials to pay appropriate attention to the conduction of the Epiphany. </p>
